Marc MurnaghanChief Executive Officer
Marc joined Polaris Infrastructure Inc. as CEO in May 2015. Marc led the successful recapitalization transaction, including negotiation of amendments to the San Jacinto project loan documents and the power purchase agreement.
Marc brings a deep background in the capital markets, having spent over 20 years in senior investment banking roles with Cormark Securities Inc. and National Bank Financial Inc., where he ran the Power and Alternative Energy groups, leading efforts to raise capital for companies in the solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, biomass, power electronics, battery technologies and fuel cell sectors.
In addition, he currently chairs the Board of Directors at Autism Speaks Canada, the leading autism science and advocacy organization in Canada. Marc holds an Honours Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
Anton JelicChief Financial Officer
Anton joined Polaris Infrastructure in December 2018 and is responsible for all aspects of Financial Reporting, Management Reporting, Accounting, Tax, as well as Information Technology, working closely with Marc in the areas of M&A, strategic partnerships, corporate governance and investor relations.
Previously, Anton was a CFO in the Homebuilding and Solar Energy Industries where he was also responsible for all aspects of Financial leadership with those firms. He has also been involved in the Renewable Energy industry as it relates to Biodiesel where he was a key member of the Management team of a Company that successfully progressed a technology developed at the University of Toronto from bench-scale to Commercialization and then Public listing via an RTO transaction. Valuable experience was further garnered throughout his career with increasingly more senior roles within the Real Estate Development, major Construction and Telecomm Industries.
Anton holds a Bachelor of Arts, History degree from York University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
Alexis OsornoRegional Manager - Latin America
Alexis joined PENSA in June 2015 as Finance Manager, shortly after the successful recapitalization changes of Polaris Infrastructure Inc. At this time, he was responsible for the Accounting and Finance, Procurement and Information and Technology departments.
Since March 2016, Alexis has been appointed General Manager of the operations of the San Jacinto Tizate Geothermal Power Plant in Nicaragua. In addition to his promotion, Alexis continues to maintain the role of Finance Manager mentioned above. In January 2019 Alexis was promoted to occupy a regional position in the Corporation, for which he was appointed Regional Manager – Latin America, assuming under his responsibility the supervision of the businesses both in the Peruvian subsidiary, Polaris Energy Peru; as well as the operations of the Nicaraguan subsidiary, Polaris Energy Nicaragua, S.A.
Alexis has vast experience in finance and accounting, as well as solid knowledge and experience in general business administration processes, such as Acquisitions, IT, Internal Controls and power plant operations. He was Finance Manager at Puma Energy Nicaragua for a period of 3 years before joining PENSA, playing a key role in the process of transition from Esso Standard Oil, S. A, Ltd to Puma Energy during and after the acquisition of Puma. Energy for All ExxonMobil businesses in Central America.
Alexis worked for 27 years for Esso Standard Oil SA Limited, progressing through increasingly important roles in the areas of Refining Engineer, Information and Technology, Finance and Accounting, Treasury and Planning Supervisor, Business Support Manager and Project Advisor Regional and Global Sales and Controls.
Alexis has a degree in Electronic Engineering, a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from INCAE Business School and a postgraduate degree in Finance from UAM and Tecnológico de Monterrey.
