Polaris, World Vision helping children to read

Working with World Vision, Polaris Energy Nicaragua SA (Pensa) created and has successfully implemented an education program to help children in Nicaragua learn to read. The program is called “I Want to Read to Learn” and has already benefited 100 families, 10 teachers and 306 children aged 6 to 12. The students attend the school Sara Maria Parrales in Telica, Leon. The initiative is based on guidelines from Nicaragua’s National Human Development Plan 2012-2016, which specifically target the several goals including ensuring children stay in school, increasing school performance and strengthening literacy.
